​Our Danish Heritage is what truly brings our community together for the festival weekend! A Grand Marshal celebration, Danish Dash 5k run and fun run, and official Danish Breakfast all provide an opportunity for those in our community to truly “Be a Dane for a Day.”

Danish Dash

We look forward to inviting you back to the annual Danish Dash 5K Run and Walk on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 8am!

Celebrate health, wellness and the natural morning beauty of Baldwin Lake before you and your family head over to the Grand Dansk Parade.

Danish Dash Course Description: The USA Track & Field certified 5K course begins and ends on Faber Street near Baldwin Heights Elementary School, travel through Tower Park, past historic Manoka Lake, around Baldwin Lake, past scenic views of Taylor Hops, and concludes with a gradual hill up Marvel Drive.

The Vikings (2023 Theme)

We had a DANE good time with our 2023 Theme: The Vikings. Vikings were a large part of Danish History, and we wanted to honor that in our Festival. We brought in the Swordsmanship Museum and Academy join us, featuring the following events: Heavy Steel Combat Shows downtown, a Viking Encampment, and a Viking Fishing Encampment.
