Activities for the Little Danes

Danish Dandies
All kids ages 3-12 are welcome
Your child can choose between pom-poms, baton, and flag twirling (limited availability of each). We highly recommend that our youngest Danish Dandies participate in the pom-pom category!
Cost is $30/child. Registration includes ONE t-shirt for your child. You may purchase additional shirts for $10 each. Adult shirts will also be available to purchase for $15 each.

HCA Park (Lafayette Street by Montcalm Street) free activities: 9am-5pm

Bouncy House: 10am-4pm

Free Family Movie at NCG Cinema “Shrek the Third”: 10am – limited to the first 210 to show up. Concessions will be available to purchase individually

LEGO Competition: 10:30am-11:30am – Please DO NOT bring your own LEGOS. Winners will be announced at 12:00pm

Balloon Guy – Free Balloon Animals: 12pm-2pm

SATURDAY, AUGUST 16

Meijer Grand Dansk Parade: 11am

HCA Park (Lafayette Street by Montcalm Street) free activities: 12pm-6pm

Bouncy House: 12pm-4pm

Meet & Greet with Olivia Grace and Company to follow the Meijer Grand Dansk Parade

Free Face Painting: 2pm-4pm (Must be in line by 3:30pm)

Lego Competition
Did you know that Legos were created in Denmark in 1949 by Ole Kirk Christiansen?! This fits in perfectly with the Danish Festival! Plus, who doesn’t love building with Legos?!

Family Movie
Last year, we hosted our Free Family Movie at NCG Cinema! Thank you to NCG Cinema for partnering with us for this fun family event! Thanks to our sponsors, we were able to pay for an entire auditorium of seats, for a special Danish Festival showing of “ABOMINABLE!”

This year’s Free Family Movie is “Shrek the Third” on Friday, August 15 at 10am!

Fairy Tale Parade
Kids Parade – Decorate your bike, your wagon, etc. in a Danish theme and join us for this fun Kid’s Parade
